Babylon Night Club (Ottawa) |
Fri Nov 28, 2003 |
Benefit show for the Shepherds of Good Hope Christmas Hamper Program with the Million Dollar Marxists, The Setbacks, The Busboyeez, and the Army of St. Joan.
You know as well as we do that this is going to be one hell of a rock show.
All proceeds from the show go to help put together packages for needy families at Christmas time, a great charity. This is the second year in a row that we've been asked to play, as last year's event was a smashing success.
I am hoping this year's will be even better! |
Babylon Night Club |
Fri Oct 24, 2003 |
This will be a killer triple bill. We're sharing the Babylon stage with Full White Drag as they pass through Ottawa, and local duo Army of St. Joan (unfortunately the Cobras, who were on the bill, broke up this week!).
This is one of the best lineups we've ever played on, and the expectation is that because of the immense concentration of rawk inside of the club, a vacuum will be created outside the club, causing explosions, earthquakes, and tidal waves everywhere within a 200km radius.
In all honesty, the only safe place to be in Ottawa that night will be inside Babylon, as the rest of the city will erupt into flames because of the sheer magnitude of the rock happening that night.
Be there. |
Babylon Night Club |
Wed Oct 01, 2003 |
We'll be supporting The Tangiers, one of the biggest buzz bands in Canada in years. They rock hard.
Also on the bill is Hawaii, another hot ticket on the National Campus Radio charts. They've spent 10 weeks on the chart, to be one of the longest charting albums currently there.
We'll be opening the show so come down early and stay late, as this promises to be the most rock you'll ever get on a Wednesday night. Guaranteed. |
Bumper's Roadhouse |
Sat Aug 23, 2003 |
This one's on short notice, but we're playing with a band called the Cay from Montreal at Bumper's Roadhouse (580 Bank St). |
Zaphod Beeblebrox |
Thu Jul 03, 2003 |
We're sharing the stage with Ring Zero, a pretty kick-ass rock outfit from the outskirts of Ottawa.
Cover is $5, doors open at 8pm. |
Babylon Night Club |
Sat May 17, 2003 |

We'll be playing a fundraiser in support of Ottawa Outaouais Social Forum with the Recoilers, Junetile and Stairwell K. Your Setbacks will set to destroy at about 11:30, just before the Recoilers rock the place into a frenzy. Cover is a measly 7 bucks. |
Zaphod Beeblebrox |
Sun Apr 06, 2003 |
We're playing Zaphod's official after Juno party, the music will start at the conclusion of the Juno's to help carry on the celebration of Canadian Music. It will be a great night of local talent featuring these rock and roll bands:
The Fully Down
Fan Belt Seven
The Setbacks
Freudhammer
Gordon Gartrell
The Setbacks will be playing in the middle but you won't wanna miss the rest of the bands. So come early and stay late, as this will be one of the exceptional nights at Zaphod's where the live music will play until close.
Did I mention that there is NO COVER CHARGE! You can't afford not to go! |
The Dominion Tavern |
Sat Mar 01, 2003 |
The Setbacks will be supporting indie-rockers The Candidates at their CD release show in Ottawa at the Dominion Tavern (33 York Street). Come and watch us collectively kick out the jams, MF. |
Bumper's Roadhouse |
Sat Feb 08, 2003 |
The details are confirmed for the big show. The doors open at 9pm, and cover is a mere $5. That's for 3 bands. Some quick math: $1.67 per band! Don't make me explain it on a per song basis, because those prices would be so low, you'd swear we'd gone insane!
Here's the lineup:
The Grand Fury
Fan Belt Seven
The Setbacks
So come out early and stay late, because the rock waits for no one. |
Zaphod Beeblebrox |
