First "Top of '02" List

December 16th, 2002

As the year draws to a close, I like many other people with access to a pulpit of any kind, am going to spout my “Tops of the ‘02” list here. It isn’t a music list or anything really specific, just a few highs and lows experienced over the last year.

So here they are, in no particular order:

· Best Show: seeing the Sadies at the Black Sheep Inn. That was an amazing show at a great venue.
· Worst Show: reruns of All in the Family on Prime
· Worst Medical Situation: in the summer I had the worst case of poison ivy that the Appletree Medical Clinic has ever seen. It was both my proudest and most ashamed medical moment ever.
· Best Medical Situation: working long enough in one place to qualify for sick days
· Worst Moment: a friend’s death
· Best Moment: getting engaged to one swell lady
· Best Purchase: a new truck
· Worst Purchase: a new truck
· Most Surprisingly Good Album: Royal City – Alone at the Microphone (threegut records)
· Most Disappointing Album: The Get Up Kids – On A Wire (vagrant)
· Worst Annoyance: the nails popping up in our hardwood floor, ripping most of my grey tube socks
· Best Annoyance: the inability to do anything but play Xbox on the weekends
· Worst TBS Original Movie: (tie) Christmas Rush, Atomic Hurricane
· Best TBS Original Movie: none

That’s about it. If I want to do a top albums of 2002 list I’ll need to do some more thinking. And I hate to do that.
