Sad, Sad Day in Rock n' Roll

December 10th, 2002

The Billboard Awards were last night. I didn't watch them but I got the results.

I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. Initially I was so disgusted that the list (more or less) had only four names: Creed, Ashanti, Nickleback, and Puddle of Mudd. Is this the kind of CRAP that people are listening to?

I then became sad for all the people that listen to this music. Do they not know that there is some amazing music out there?

I have now (after some thought) become happy about the situation. I don't want my favorite bands to end up like Korn (for example). Korn, when they first came out, played what they wanted and how they wanted. RAW. Now they suck because they are playing what the radio wants them to play.

Long story short; there is a ton of amazing music out there. All you have to do is find it.
