Here is "my" opinion

December 4th, 2002

After reading Steve's post (all very good bands) I realized that I also would like to share what I'm listening to. My tastes in music are a little different from Steve's but good music is good no matter what you call it. Check these bands out:
The Used - The Used
Finch - What it is like to Burn
The Donnas Spend the Night
Blindside - Silence (I just found these guys a couple days ago. They are from Sweden and rock so hard. I have only heard the songs that they put on their website. I have to find the CD somewhere. I might have to order it)

The Scorpions, a pitcher of Labatt 50, and some chick who looked like Nikki Sixx...

    November 24th, 2002

After putting a humorous post about "Rock You Like A Hurricane..", I ended up listening to the song live at Barrymore's tonight. I realized how wicked this tune was in full audio mode as the club bounced. Since developing a fondness for 50 now that I'm a full fledged member of The Setbacks, I assume that I will start frequenting the same watering holes as my bandmates. I slammed enough of those babies at Saturday night's show...hehe..

If anyone's interested, you should check out one of Canada's coolest indie labels, GRENADINE RECORDS. One of my favourite bands, BLURTONIA, who absoloutely fucking rock, call that imprint home....www.grenadinerecords.com.
Also, if you like The Dears, pre-major label deal, then you can check out some of their stuff there as well...sound good? Thought so...

    Postering and such

    November 21st, 2002

Well, last night we postered. Maybe "we" isn't the best way to describe it. Steve, Trev, Natalie (manager of the new and upcoming band "The Tackaberry Express") and I went to the market to poster but since we went a little late the plans got changed a little. Steve and I ended up going to the Scratching Post show (which was awesome as usual) and Trev and Natalie ended up postering the market. The only thing that stopped them was the fact that they ran out of tape.

Anyways, we are definitely getting excited about the show on Saturday. All signs (and posters) are pointing to a rockin' show. Hope to see you there.

    Crazy Kid

    February 4th, 2002

I saw a kid today outside my work smoking smokes. He claimed that he was 15 years old, but in reality, I would've guessed that he was maybe 9.
He was smoking cigarettes, and had this incredible medallion around his neck.
The medallion he claimed, was stolen from his mother. I noticed that he had a pair of glasses on that had no right frames, so he kind of looked like the boss man who financed AIRWOLF in the television show.
This kid told me and a few other workin' buddies that he was going to rob my work with a pistol that he had in his pocket. After we laughed, and one of my buddies gave him a piledriver, he ran into my work waving a small bright orange .38 caliber revolver.
He was hauled away by the police fifteen minutes later.
I felt bad because he had clef lip, and my friend George literally piledrivered him, but that's life.
